Fellow Americans, it is with the utmost pride and sincerity that I present this petition, as a living testament and recollection of history in the making, District 97 - Hip-Hop's 1st Official District.
For years HOT 97 has been a rebel district, bringing legends Notorious B.I.G, Eminem, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige into our unsanctioned hip hop arena. However on Sunday, June 5th in East Rutherford, NJ, we’re creating an official district. With your signature and 49,000 others, District 97 can be come a reality!
District 97 is a place where Nicki Minaj will be judged by the content of her lyrics not by the color of her wigs, where Drake can sing or rap without judgment, and where Lil Wayne’s can indulge in a rockstar lifestyle without prejudice.
The movement begins Monday, April 11th _ 5:00 p.m. with presale tickets to our The Click members. The movement will gradually expand to general public on Saturday, April 16th _ 10:00 a.m. on HOT97.com.
